12mm-15mm, mid brown with a yellow brown thorax having two dark brown stripes, long antennae. Wings full length in males 2/3 in females. Cockroaches like to live in warm moist environments, fridge motors, inside washing machines, switch boxes etc. The nymphs hatch in 1-2 days after the female has laid the Oocheca. Female cockroachs can live up to 153 days.

17mm-30mm dark brown to black, very shiny and flat, the female oriental cockroaches have reduced wing buds and the male oriental cockroaches have longer wings to almost the end of the abdomen. Mainly living in heated buildings, cellars, boiler rooms, incubation is 48-80 days depending on the temperature, life span 60-250 days.
